Teddy Sheringham, alla veneranda età di 41 anni, ha firmato un contratto con il Colchester United, club arrivato decimo nell'ultima Championship. Sheringham ha svolto le ultime tre stagioni nelle fila del West Ham. Teddy boy ha giocato con il Millwall, il Tottenham, il Portsmouth, il Manchester United ed il West Ham.
